Getting Started
When a child’s safety or well-being is in question, the legal process can be overwhelming and emotional. At Nelson & Yarnell, we represent parents, grandparents, and family members in Child in Need of Care cases across Kansas, providing knowledgeable, compassionate advocacy through every stage of the process.
A CINC case arises when there are allegations of abuse, neglect, or lack of proper care. These matters involve state agencies and the juvenile court system, making experienced legal guidance essential to protect both your rights and your child’s future.
Our Services Include:
Guardian Ad Litem
We serve as Guardian Ad Litem, independently representing and advocating for the best interests of children in family law cases.
Parent Representation
We represent parents to advocate for their rights, and services to provide for successful reintegration of families. We also represent parents appealing findings of abuse and neglect from DCF.
Third Party Representation
We represent foster parents, grandparents, and other interested parties to advocate for the third parties’ interests and promote the best interest of the child.
Court Appointed Representation
We accept court appointments as GAL and counsel for parents who meet financial qualifications set by the Court.
